Here I am again... I figured out that I can't install FreeBSD or Linux or Windows on that old 486 because it only has 4 MB of ram, so I don't know what I'm going to do with it now. I did make a deal with CHaley to exchange a bunch of New Mexico chile for a PII-500 which should perform that function much better. There'a also supposed to be a power supply on the way for Mikey's laptop, but I haven't been able to get any tracking info or even confirmation that it has been shipped from the company. We did get a PCMCIA 10/100 ethernet card for the laptop, though. Too bad we can't use it without a power supply. I talked to Sam & Rachel Brown today, and they invited me out to visit whenever I can. I wish I was independently wealthy so I could just go out there and not worry about rent and bills and missing work. In any case, I hope I can find the time and money to visit sometime. Ummm.... I've also been watching The Prisoner on DVD. It's an old TV series where this guy (No. 6) is stuck in this village where people are kept who know too much to be released into the public (i.e. ex-spies, etc.). It's pretty cool, and I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes those 60's/70's era spy/mystery shows like the Avengers or the Twilight Zone... you know... stuff like that. Anyhoo, sorry I haven't blogged very much at all recently... if you really want to know what I'm doing almost every day, come and hang out on irc://toxic.magnesium.net:#whiteboard. That's where I've been spending most of my online time. Peace out for now- hopefully when I get the DSL set up at my house (I know it's taking foreeeever), I'll blog more often.
